Our team in San Antonio has a need for a Survey Coordinator to join their team.  In this role you will provide team support coordination for various land surveying and business development activities.

What you will do:

  • Communicate with client representatives to assist with the coordination of project activities relative to the scope of services. Communicate with Supervisors and Peers, Providing information by telephone, in written form, e-mail, or in person. Communicate with people outside the organization, representing the organization to customers, the public, government, and other external sources. Must maintain a professional image in representing the organization by phone, email and in person
  • Answer incoming phone calls and relay messages as needed. Coordinate travel arrangements and schedule meetings
  • Organize and maintain file system, file correspondence, project directories and other records. Maintain survey records and database in an organized and consistent manner utilizing GIS and other technologies to maximize retrieval capabilities, access and information-sharing with internal and external customers
  • Provide professional survey consultation support and services, coordination and assistance to Survey department as assigned by Supervisor, assuring product quality and achievement of service objectives
  • Perform advanced, varied, and confidential administrative duties in support of management and business development efforts. Perform other administrative tasks as directed by the Regional Vice President
  • Perform customer service by responding to questions and concerns regarding survey projects as appropriate in a timely and effective manner
  • Maintain the necessary equipment and supplies to meet program objectives
  • Coordinate staff associated with duties assigned for land survey activities
Job Requirements

What you bring:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent; Bachelor’s Degree in business, English, Journalism, Communications, or related field preferred
  • Proficient using Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Similar or other work experience with a survey, architectural or engineering firm a plus
  • Experience with Deltek Vision a plus
  • Experience with Adobe Acrobat software a plus
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from team members and management
  • Ability to work under pressure, prioritize assignments, and meet deadlines
  • Must possess well-rounded knowledge of commonly used survey concepts, practices and procedures
  • Demonstrates the ability to be organized and work on multiple projects
  • Prior experience coordinating survey work, including establishing specific, objective work goals and measuring results
  • Experience with land use platting, re-platting, planning and zoning matters, including presentations to local planning and zoning boards, City Council and other governmental entities.
  • Experience utilizing GIS and its integration with survey data and practices.
