Alliance Manager, Companion Diagnostics
The Opportunity
Bio-Techne empowers researchers in Life Science and Clinical Diagnostics by providing high-quality reagents, instruments, custom manufacturing, and testing services. The Alliance Manager, Companion Diagnostics, will be responsible for supporting high-value opportunities and strategic pharma partnerships in the Companion Diagnostics area. The successful candidate will help drive the CDx business by identifying and facilitating opportunities to create and grow partnerships with existing and new pharmaceutical partners in the use of Bio-Techne products, platforms, and services for the development of new CDx programs. What You’ll Do
- Support, maintain, and grow current and new partnerships in an alliance management role to foster customer centric relationships for growth opportunities in revenue, brand expansion, and marketing activities
- Identify strategic opportunities to grow existing partnerships with key accounts and work with the Business Development team members to realize these business opportunities
- Contribute to the strategy of translational biomarker development programs with pharma partners and maintain scientific and consultative relationships with pharma partners
- Maintain commercial alliances with key internal stakeholders and pharma partner stakeholders
- Lead regular governance and check-in meetings with pharma partners and present clear and concise business updates
- Be part of a team that drives innovative solutions for patient diagnostics
- Manage of a portfolio of strategic partners and lead ideation for new partnership opportunities by working closely with the Business Development team to meet annual revenue targets
- Identify emerging trends, growth opportunities and solutions to grow Bio-Techne’s pharma partnerships
- Work with divisional and cross organizational marketing teams to promote Bio-Techne’s capabilities and technologies to pharma, biotech and medical device communities
Who You Are & What You Bring
- Degree (BS, MSc, or PhD) in life sciences required with at least 3 years of relevant industry experience with expertise in biomarker and/or CDx development preferred
- Demonstrated success in project management, workflow processes, client management, and time management, preferably with project management course training
- Knowledgeable in molecular diagnostics (nucleic acid analysis, PCR based technologies, NGS based solutions, etc) and protein sciences is a plus
- Demonstrated experience in strategizing and implementing biomarker and CDx development from biomarker discovery, assay development, clinical trial testing, validation to regulatory submissions a plus
- Demonstrated knowledge of the drug development process and experience with working with pharma partners highly preferred
- Experience in human translational research with biomarker application in clinical trials preferred
- Understanding of the co-development process for CDx and the associated R&D, clinical, regulatory and commercial frameworks preferred
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills and demonstrated ability to work in cross functional team settings
- Some travel required for customer meetings, conferences, and internal meetings
- Location must be within the greater Boston, MA or Austin, TX areas.
