Registered Nurse (RN)

Biocare Diagnostics, Inc. has opportunities available for a Registered Nurse to work in our Cardiovascular Division in the Brookline, MA.

Cardiovascular Division is an outpatient lifestyle management program for individuals recovering from a recent cardiac event.

Schedule:

Monday-Friday 9-5pm

Requirements:

• Candidates should be comfortable working collaboratively within a team of nurses, exercise physiologists, Sonographers and providers.
• Familiarity with ECG rhythm identification is ideal.
• Ideal candidates should have cardiovascular nursing experience with a passion for patient care.
• Licensed to work as an RN in the state of MA
• Provides direct care to patients and makes necessary nursing judgments. Responsible for assessing the health care needs of individuals and, under the direction of the cardiologist, formulating and implementing care plans.
• Develops a collegial and collaborative relationship with other health professionals to determine healthcare needs of patients. Learns to develop relationships with patients that maintain and communicate trust and respect. Communicates effectively with patients and healthcare professionals in the exchange of information.
• Documents all patient visits and interactions in the EHR.
• Responsible for managing prescription refills and renewals.
• Responsible for reviewing all lab reports and informing patients of lab test results, as well as the results of any other diagnostic testing.
• Manages INR testing and monitoring. INR testing is performed off site at labs or patients' home POCs.
• Responsible for triaging and responding to patient calls and inquiries that come through the administrative team.

License/Certification:

• BLS Certification (Preferred)
• RN license (Preferred)
