Typical duties:
- Develop an understanding of the typical duties and responsibilities of each position, as well as the skills & abilities required to be successful in each role
- Recruit, prescreen and select candidates to be interviewed by hiring managers
- Compose offer letters and administer the onboarding process including background checks and drug screens, IT requests, training schedule, orientation, badges, etc.
- Ensure diversity of recruiting methods and strategy to attract top quality candidates; stay informed of the benefit and incentive offerings in a competitive labor market
- Work closely with the Human Resource Manger to handle the daily needs of the employees and the leadership team of a growing company
- Collaborate with department managers to update and create job descriptions as needed
- Monitor mandatory training to ensure timely completion by all employees, in accordance with labor laws, accreditation requirements and SOPs
- Administer the anniversary, performance review, and tuition reimbursement programs
- Liaise with temporary staffing firms as needed, reconcile & approve invoices
- Maintain knowledge of trends, best practices, and current employment laws and regulations, including legislation that may impact operations
- Drive the development and implementation of employee engagement and community involvement initiatives
- Advise management on HR policies & SOPs, performance management, and help to effectively resolve any personnel issues
- Deliver quality customer service to all team members, customers, and stakeholders
- Perform all assigned duties in compliance with internal SOPs and external regulations
- Bring any compliance issues to the attention of management
- Perform all other duties as assigned by management
What we are looking for:
- Requires a Bachelor's Degree in Human Resource Management, Business Administration, related area, or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Minimum 3 years of progressive HR experience, including recruiting
- Ability to organize, prioritize, and deliver results with a variable workload and multiple priorities, paying close attention to detail with minimal supervision
- Must have analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and maintain confidentiality
- Adept at getting to the root cause of an issue and negotiating a resolution with diplomacy and tact
- Intermediate to advanced computer skills including O365
- Ability to work independently and as an active participant in a team environment
- Excellent interpersonal skills, including the ability to communicate effectively in both oral and written formats with employees, management, and vendors at all levels
- Thorough understanding of state and federal employment laws
- Must be able to pass a background check and pre-employment drug screen within company and accreditation standards
