Job Summary:

Under minimal supervision, the Supply chain Specialist will perform Supply Chain activities related to the support of biosimilar products in both a GMP and R&D environment. The Supply Chain Specialist will support the supervisor with planning, purchasing, and material management responsibilities. This role will work closely with Manufacturing and cross-functional groups to ensure materials are available on time to meet the manufacturing objectives. We are looking for a self-starter individual who is a fast learner and team player.

Responsibilities:

  • Enter receipts of controlled materials into ERP system, matching items against the purchase orders and completing required transactions.
  • Perform physical and administrative tasks involving inventory control.
  • Work effectively with team to ensure proper inventory levels are maintained and create inventory reports to meet production plan and inventory requirements.
  • Receive, inspect and quarantine controlled materials.
  • Issue controlled materials.
  • Support the implementation of Standard Operating Procedures relating to Supply Chain Operations.
  • Support with logistics activities: coordinate export/import of proteins, samples, drug products, and related materials from pick-up to delivery using various modes of transportation.
  • Assist with the inventory tracking and logistics of BDS, FDP and Cell Banks.
  • Assist with creation of material specifications.
  • Create purchase orders.
  • Provide support with raw material planning.
  • Deliver materials to end users between sites.
  • Adhere to company core values.
  • Read, train, and maintain individual training records up to date.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Required Skills/Abilities:

  • Ability to lift a minimum of 70lbs.
  • Experience with ERP systems.
  • Microsoft Office and Excel experience required.
  • Great verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to adapt to change.
  • Ability to function well in a high-paced and at times stressful environment.

Education and Experience:

  • High School diploma or higher.
  • At least 2-3 years of related material management experience in biotech/life science.
