Job Description
The Plant Engineer III provides engineering technical support and troubleshooting for plant utilities and facilities. Systems supported may include clean utilities (water, air, steam, gasses), HVAC air handlers (clean and office areas), steam systems, waste systems, tower water, and process glycol. The Plant Engineer III leads or participates in design, specification, installation, commissioning, and qualification of new equipment including URS and protocol writing and executions. This role partners with other teams including Utilities, Manufacturing, Process Engineering, Maintenance, and others to measure, target and improve reliability of all assets.
What You’ll Do
- Troubleshoot equipment systems and support associated automation (Building Management System) system troubleshooting efforts and involvement with group or department initiatives.
- Provide responsible engineering support for all areas of the buildings, manufacturing areas, labs and warehouse areas containing utility systems.
- Manage and track completion timelines for compliance tasks (change controls, deviation investigations, corrective & preventive actions).
- Manage small engineering projects with little direction.
- Work with and provide direction to contractors.
- Participate in multi-functional teams to implement change and improve on existing processes.
- On-board new equipment in the CMMS in accordance with site procedures.

Qualifications
- B.S. in Engineering or related discipline 3 years of transferrable experience.
- A practical knowledge of the application of FDA GMP and EMA regulations.
- Competency in MS Word, MS Excel, MS Power Point MS Sharepoint MS Project and AutoCad.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to work rotating shifts, extended shifts and weekends as needed.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with HVAC, Clean Utilities, and/or Electrical Infrastructure.
- Experience in biotech/pharma manufacturing environment.
