Laboratory Technician

We are hiring a Laboratory Technician for one of our clients in Ewing, NJ.

Job Description

• Lab Tech will be performing moderately complex testing primarily in the field. They will be responsible for specimen collection (fingerstick), rapid RT-PCR testing, RPR testing, and immunoassays. Daily record keeping (ie: quality control, testing logs), and preparing of reagents. Electronic and manual recording of results. Lab tech are not limited to the responsibilities listed here and may be asked to perform more depending on need.
  
  

Skills Required

• Basic laboratory skills (pipetting, proper PPE knowledge, QC knowledge, lab etiquette, ect.), communication skills (verbal and written), comfortable working with patients.
  
  

Education Required

• Graduation from an accredited college or university with at least 24 semester hour credits in the biological and/or physical sciences OR successful completion of a a certified program in Clinical Laboratory Technology OR 2 years' experience working as a technician in a public health, hospital, or clinical laboratory performing bacteriological, chemical, serological, and/or virological tests.
  
  

Work Hours

• 8-4 or 9-5 as determined at start.
• Lunch period (Unpaid): Flexible and dependent on the day's work/events
