This is a remote based position - relocation is not required.
Responsible for construction projects, building/equipment permits, agency licenses and facilities planning efforts. Responsibilities include both new installations as well as upgrades to existing facilities.
- Project management, critical path planning, budgeting, cost control, value engineering and cost/benefit analyses
- Key member of project teams, working with both in-house and external engineers, Operations, Engineers and architects
- Ensure compliance with local/state/federal regulations, including: OSHA, FDA, Fire, Building/Safety,etc.
- Put preventive maintenance programs in place for the donor centers with consistent practices across all companies
- Process maintenance requests through maintenance request software (CMMS). Transition all current practices to software process for all donor centers
- Communicate with donor center management regarding repairs, maintenance, new construction, appearance upgrades
- Manage multiple local contractors to complete work in donor centers across the company. Includes managing timeliness and satisfactory completion of work
- Authorize and negotiate work proposals/estimates with local contractors
- Coordinate with city and county officials for building/upgrading of new donor centers. Secure permits, review architectural plans and serve as project lead for completion of new donor centers
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor of Science Degree: Architecture, Construction Management or Engineering or Project Management or related field
- 5 years of experience managing construction or equipment installation projects. Medical manufacturing (cGMP) experience a plus.
- Knowledge of national building codes. Knowledge of construction methods and procedures. Ability to understand/interpret engineering and construction drawings. Self motivated with decision making abilities. Must be able to read blue prints. Familiar with AutoCad, Microsoft Project and Office
- Up to 75% travel required
