Material Handling Specialist

We are seeking a Material Handling Specialist who will be responsible for receiving goods, inventory control, picking and kitting parts, and shipping finished goods.
The starting salary will be commensurate with the candidate's level of skills, abilities, and experience.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Completes shipping and receiving activities.
- Works under minimum supervision. Assignments are received in the form of results expected, due dates, and general procedures to follow.
- Receives parts and goods while assuring appropriate documentation and distribution of received material into inventory or onto the production floor.
- Performs receiving inspection of test articles and materials.
- Performs maintenance of adequate inventory levels based on established minimums and other procedural guidelines.
- Labels, arranges, and maintains all inventory shelves, records and reports.
- Chooses parts and distribute materials to the manufacturing flow on a timely basis.
- Executes shipping of finished goods and parts with established procedures.
- Ships test articles and materials.
- Ensures receiving and inventory work areas are adequately cleaned, organized and maintained to ensure effective and safe operations.
- Plans and prioritizes individual workload to meet schedules and other time-based responsibilities.
- Performs all other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications of Position
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
- Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in Materials Management or related field.
- Experience with international logistics is preferred.
- Must possess strong organizational skills, with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Must possess strong verbal and writing skills, and good interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Windows (including Word and Excel) is required.
