The Director of Maintenance & Metrology ensures compliance with the preventative maintenance and calibration program.
Major Roles & Responsibilities:
- This position is responsible for overseeing the maintenance team
- This position is responsible for overseeing the metrology team
- This position is responsible for the build out and oversight of the reliability team
- Coordinates with Site Services team Management to determine strategic goals and needs
- Coordinates with Manufacturing Management to discuss goals, objectives and schedule required down time for maintenance
- Owns and oversees the ProCal system. Ensures all calibration records are complete, accurate, and signed off on by all interested parties.
- Plans and schedules Preventative Maintenance (PM) to ensure proper distribution of assignments
- Ensures PM work orders are printed and organized daily
- Closes out and records PM and Condition Monitoring work orders in the CMMS system and adjusts PM’S accordingly.
- Maintains the PM schedule for equipment
- Maintain all process rooms and related equipment in a validated state and in a state of audit readiness
- Maintains all work order documentation and log books ensuring compliance with all procedures
- Plans and documents the installation of new process and related equipment including developing and implementing PM’S for new equipment.
- Responsible for emergency/unscheduled repairs of production equipment
- Reads and interprets equipment manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance and service
- Comply with OSHA safety and health regulations
- Completes work using power tools and shop tools
- Maintains good housekeeping practices
- Reviews and approves purchases for spare parts, maintenance tools and equipment.
- Ensures all PM personnel have appropriate training documented for the tasks assigned
- This position is on call 24/7 for plant emergencies.
- Other duties may be assigned as deemed appropriate by management
Qualifications:
- At least 5 years of related mechanical or building experience in a cGMP environment
- Ability to lead and motivate others
- Experience in equipment reliability programs
- Experience developing and implementing PM's
- Knowledge of ProCal software
- Knowledge of CMM programs
- Ability to manage complex and competing priorities across multiple functions
- Demonstrated mechanical aptitude to work with various tools and machines
- Detail oriented with good documentation and math skills
- Must have the ability comply with all cGMP and Safety programs
Physical Requirements:
- Lift up to 50 lbs. occasionally lift up to 100 lbs.
- Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer
- Ability to see and distinguish color
- Bend, stoop, and carry
