Our Portland, OR Hub is currently seeking a Full-time driver to join our team!
Must have A Passport.
BioTrans LLC is a global logistics provider specializing in cold chain transportation, technology and infrastructure for the life sciences industry.
Job Highlights :
Monday to Friday Route coverage, approximate start time 3 : 00 am, Overnight Hotel Stay, paid by company and warehouse duties.
Duties & Responsibilities :
- Physically load and unload delivery truck in accordance with weight guidelines and limitations
- Driving in a safe, courteous and defensive manner
- Adhering to assigned routes and following time schedules
- Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip inspections, fuel the truck as needed, and report any problems or issues to dispatch / managers
- Truck washes / inspections and warehouse duties to be performed anytime needed.
Physical Requirements & Working Conditions
While performing the duties of the job, the employee is frequently exposed to outdoor weather conditions. The employee is occasionally exposed to wet or humid conditions (non-weather) and fumes or airborne particles.
Must be able to safely tolerate heat in the summer and cold in the winter.
- Frequently lift and / or move up to 50 pounds.
- Frequent stooping, bending, kneeling and squatting.
- Extended periods of sitting.
- Sequential or simultaneous use of hands, arms, feet and legs.
Requirements :
- Current U.S. Passport / Passport Card is required
- Possess a valid driver’s license
- Experience driving cargo vans and small box trucks
- Be a quick learner, detail-oriented, dependable, have a positive attitude and willingness to work
- Comfortable with smartphones - basic computer skills (email, print & scan, Word), Read maps and use GPS
- Show basic knowledge of Pre and Post trip inspection of vehicles
- Problem solves basic logistics issues
- Ability to lift, bend, stoop, twist, move, push and pull up to 50 pounds, and prolonged sitting while driving
- Climb in and out of box trucks repeatedly with no difficulties
- Preferred Clean driving record with no at fault accidents or more than 2 moving violations within the past 3 years (Due to Insurance coverage)
- Must pass a pre-employment drug / alcohol screen and background check
