BIOTRONIK is looking to add a Biostatistician to our Clinical Studies department. The Biostatistician works collaboratively with a variety of teams and is responsible for gaining and utilizing knowledge of biostatistical methodology and statistical programming to advise and implement strategies across all stages of clinical research data management and analysis. In this role, you will help shape analysis and projects that support new products, new features, or new ideas that positively impact our patients and customers.
Your Responsibilities
- Determine appropriate statistical analysis and methods for clinical trial data to support activities such as sample size and hypothesis development, poolability analyses, and other study specific sub-group analyses
- Develop methodologies to support goals of physician proposed analysis utilizing Real-World Data
- Prepare, conduct, interpret, and document statistical analysis for clinical reports, scientific publications, and ad-hoc requests from both clinical study data and Real-World Evidence data sources
- Act as statistical consult and advisor to support Clinical Studies steering committees, FDA interactions, review of independent study/analysis proposals, and/or business decisions
- Support maintenance and process improvements for statistical algorithms that perform functions such as data outlier analysis, risk-based monitoring strategy, and trend analysis
- Provide support for validation of analyses and clinical study data management
- Master’s degree in Applied Statistics or Biostatistics, or similar program
- Three or more years of relevant post-education/on-the-job experience as a Biostatistician or in a similar role
- Proficiency with advanced programming and data analysis using SAS
- Familiarity with developing statistical analysis plans and conducting sample size estimations
- Prior experience analyzing Medicare claims data for research is desirable
- Excellent communication, presentation, interpersonal, and computer skills
- Strong analytical skills to support problem solving and critical thinking, proven organizational skills, and attention to detail
- Ability to work both independently and as a part of a team
- This is a full-time position. Standard days of work are Monday through Friday. Hours of work may vary depending on time zone supported. Occasional evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand. May be based remotely depending on qualifications.
- Minimal travel expected but must be willing and able to travel, if required.
