Birch Hill Catering in Schodack, NY is looking for one book keeper to join our 84 year young , 150 person strong team. We are located on 1 Celebration Way. Our ideal candidate is a self-starter, ambitious, and hard-working.

Responsibilities

  • maintain a presence in the office full time and assist with the office administration along with the Books. The sales team consists of 3 sales managers and we look to collaborate with sales to monitor and encourage closing rates as well as administer sales goals and operational excellence.

Qualifications

Position Summary:

Responsible for the bookkeeping needs of all Birch Hill Catering and property LLC activities. Essential Job Functions include those listed below. Processing payroll and tax filings in QuickBooks software. Monthly closing and reports generation

Essential Job Functions

  • Payroll and Quarterly Tax Filing
  • Timely Accounts Payable administration
  • Vendor Communications
  • Bank Account Reconciliation
  • Balance Sheet Accounts Reconciliation
  • Prepare and record journal entries with understanding of debits and credits
  • General ledger review and reporting
  • Administrative support to Owner
  • Ability to create and maintain spreadsheets using Microsoft Excel

Essential Qualifications:

  • 5 years of experience as a full charge bookkeeper
  • 5 years of experience processing payroll
  • Strong Excel experience
  • Strong Computer experience
  • Strong Organizational skills

Education:

  • Associate’s in Accounting or Business degree level is required;
  • Bachelor Level Accounting Degree preferred or equivalent in work experience
