We are seeking an Assistant General Manager to join our team at Birch & Maple. As the Assistant General Manager, you will play a key role in supporting the General Manager in overseeing daily operations and ensuring exceptional customer service. This is a dynamic and fast-paced position that requires strong leadership skills and a passion for the food industry.
```Duties```
- Assist the General Manager in managing all aspects of the restaurant, including staff supervision, inventory management, and customer service
- Oversee shift management and ensure smooth operations during opening, closing, and peak hours
- Collaborate with the culinary team to maintain high-quality food preparation and presentation
- Utilize Toast POS system to process orders, manage reservations, and track sales
- Train and develop team members on company policies, procedures, and customer service standards
- Monitor and enforce compliance with health and safety regulations
- Handle customer inquiries, complaints, and feedback in a professional manner
- Assist in conducting performance evaluations and providing constructive feedback to team members
```Qualifications```
- Previous experience in a supervisory or management role within the food industry
- Ability to fill in all aspects of FOH operations. I.E Serving, Bartending and Maitre D
- Strong knowledge of restaurant operations, including food preparation, service standards, and health regulations
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively lead and motivate a diverse team
- Proficiency in using point-of-sale systems
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
