Job Purpose:
The Lead Installer travels (mainly within Florida) as a representative of the Company, executing the installation of fall protection and other work access systems.
Job Duties:
- Work with a crew leader, other installers and/or subcontractors
- Study job folder for scope of work to be done reads and follows plans, material lists and guidelines. Laying out and setting up job accordingly. Ensuring all materials are on hand and available for each job prior to start.
- Conduct regular one-site safety inspections and attend safety meetings.
- Contact customer when arriving at the job site and complete a walk-through, fulfilling all regular and advanced installation duties.
- Verify job boxes arrived and the lifts and equipment required to do the installation are in place. Order any missing parts from the office ASAP.
- Organizes, lead, and train other employees to complete projects within established guidelines and time frames.
- Enforce and comply with all company and client required safety policies and procedures.
- Interprets specifications and company policies and helps enforce safety regulations. Analyze and resolve work problems.
- Establish and maintain customer relationships when working on a job site.
- Assists the project manager/crew leader with conducting inspections and reports.
- Inspects and installs on a regular basis to ensure the work conforms to specifications, schedule and initiates any repair or replacement needs and/or adjustment of working procedures. Regularly communicates with the project manager/crew leader regarding installation status.
- Solve job related problems and ensure project success.
- Obtain customer sign-off on drawings and on the competed job.
- Call for any removal of heavy equipment, Leaving the customer site in a neat condition.
- When required, ship out job boxes and left over materials.
- Collaborate with office staff and support sales efforts.
- Other job-related duties as assigned.
Job Requirements:
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record required.
- Ability to travel up to 80% of the time.
- Must be comfortable with physical demands such as climbing stairs, lifting and carrying up to 75 pounds, working indoors and outdoors in various weather conditions.
- 4 years Construction field experience required.
- OSHA 10 Certified preferred.
- Boom and Scissor lift certification preferred.
- CPR/First Aid preferred.
- Experience with power tools/hand tools preferred.
- Fall Protection and Rigging training preferred.
- Confined Space a plus.
- Additional training is available as needed.
- Must be authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.
- Must be able to pass a pre-employment background check and drug test/physical.
