Description
We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Spanish Teacher to join our high school teaching team for the academic year 2024-2025.
Primary Responsibilities
- Prepare and deliver engaging Spanish lessons to students from Grades 9 to 12.
- Develop and implement inspiring lesson plans that fulfill the requirements of the school's curriculum program and show written evidence of preparation as required.
- Prepare lessons that reflect accommodations for differences in student learning styles.
- Present subject matter according to guidelines established by the Massachusetts Curriculum Frameworks and the Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary Education, with adherence to curriculum and standards.
- Assess and analyze student progress and modify instructional activities as required.
- Participate in department, school, and parent meetings.
- Communicate necessary information regularly to students, colleagues, and parents regarding student progress and student needs.
Other Responsibilities: Additional responsibilities identified as needed and/or assigned and approved by the World Language Department Chairperson and the Administration.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Spanish or a related field.
- State teaching certification in Spanish (Grades 9-12).
- Proficiency in Spanish and English.
- Strong understanding of the Massachusetts Curriculum Frameworks and the Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary Education standards.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to adapt teaching methods to meet diverse learning needs.
