What are the responsibilities and job description for the Kitchen Staff position at Bistro 17?
Hello! We are a team of local, experienced restaurant owners currently in the process of running our soft openings in a small, new venue called BISTRO 17 located in the heart of Downtown Tuscaloosa. With our Alabama, Chicago, Atlanta, New York City, and Los Angeles restaurant, hotel, and bar experience, we are excited to be bringing fresh, American, crave-worthy, comfort food with a healthy twist to the neighborhood! We have very many Gluten Free and vegetable options that we are incorporating into traditional Southern Cuisine.
Our venue has approximately 40 seats inside with seasonal outdoor café seating as well.
We are seeking experienced, qualified Kitchen Support Team Members to work under and learn from our Certified Head Chef as we roll out our menu in the heart of Downtown Tuscaloosa. Our dream Team Members will be those that desire to grow with us as a company, put their treasure in people, always have their sleeves "rolled up" and ready to work, and have a true passion for the culinary arts.
As a company, we believe in growing together and truly desire to create long-term business relationships with our team. We have other restaurant and bar concepts that we will be implementing in the surrounding area, and this is a wonderful opportunity to grow as a team as we seek to add value to the hospitality industry together!
We will currently be operating for dinner services Monday through Saturday and will eventually be open for lunch and dinner. We will be closed on Sundays as we desire for all of our team members to have a good work/life balance.

Some of the Responsibilities we will require the Kitchen Support Team Members to uphold shall be:
- Implement the execution of the menu to the exact direction of the Chef
- Work with the owners to construct seasonal menus that deliver passion and flavor in every bite of every dish
- Passionately adding to our culture of teamwork and servant leadership
- Comply with nutrition and sanitation regulations and safety standards

Skills:
- Proven experience as a Kitchen Support Staff Team Member
- Ability to work well under pressure
- Ability to handle high volume workloads
- Outstanding communication skills
- Credentials in health and safety training

Pay: $13.75 - $15.00 per hour
