Role Purpose
Manages continuous improvement/transformation project portfolios and other project portfolios. Utilizes project/program/portfolio management in combination with continuous improvement/transformation in organization operations in order to accomplish business objectives. Mentors and trains in project/program management and continuous improvement methodologies. Leads and directs the work of others. Familiar with a variety of the field's concepts, practices and procedures.

Responsibilities
  • Manages individual(s) including but not limited to: hires, trains, assigns work, manages & evaluates performance, conducts professional development plans. Ensures that the productivity and actions of that group meet/support the overall operational goals of the department as established by department leadership.
  • Develops and adheres to departmental staffing, revenue and/or expense budgets. Responds to changes in the business which may affect the ability to achieve the budget goals.
  • Supports benchmark activities by identifying appropriate organizations and standards for comparison, and ensuring that benchmarks are appropriately compared with peer organizations.
  • Provides direct line leadership to the program staff whose responsibilities are to support excellence and continuous improvement initiatives in combination with project/program and portfolio management.
  • Develops models that analyze the financial and operational impact of proposed continuous improvement initiatives in combination with operational and project efforts. Provides consultation to teams regarding "Leading Practices" in project management and continuous improvement approaches.
  • Assists in establishing the methodology for the continuous improvement initiative, and maintains the chosen methodology by supporting team members in its use in combination with project/program and portfolio management infrastructures.

Minimum Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree - Business/Engineering/related
  • 5-10 years of experience
  • < 2 years of supervisory experience
