About the Role
As a Senior Project Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing the delivery of data and analytics projects from inception to completion. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including data scientists, analysts, engineers and consultants to ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope and within budget. Your role will involve strategic planning, stakeholder management and providing leadership to drive project success.
Key Responsibilities:
Project Leadership
- Lead the planning, execution and delivery of data and analytics projects
- Develop detailed project plans, timelines and milestones
- Ensure project goals are aligned with client objectives and business needs
- Identify and mitigate project risks and issues
Stakeholder Management
- Act as the primary point of contact for clients, providing regular updates and managing expectations
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including clients, team members and senior management
- Facilitate effective communication and collaboration across all project stakeholders
Team Management
- Lead and mentor project teams, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture
- Allocate resources effectively to ensure project deliverables are met
- Provide guidance and support to team members, helping them overcome challenges and achieve their potential
Financial Management
- Manage project budgets, ensuring projects are delivered within financial constraints
- Monitor project financials, including forecasting and variance analysis
- Ensure accurate and timely invoicing and financial reporting
Process Improvement
- Continuously evaluate and improve project management processes and methodologies
- Implement best practices and innovative approaches to enhance project delivery
- Contribute to the development of project management tools and templates
This role will be mainly based in Columbus, Ohio.
About You
You’ll bring extensive project management experience gained through a combination of industry and consulting roles. You will be comfortable developing and strengthening peer-to-peer level relationships at all levels with our clients.
Ideally, you will have as much of the following experience as possible:
- Extensive experience in project management, with a focus on data and analytics projects at a consulting organization
- Proven experience delivering complex projects in a digital consultancy or similar environment
- Strong understanding of data analytics, data engineering and business intelligence
- Excellent leadership, communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and work effectively under pressure
- Proficient in project management tools such as Microsoft Project, JIRA, Asana or similar
- Strong problem-solving and decision making abilities
- Ability to travel as needed for client engagements
- PMP, PRINCE2 or other relevant project management certification
