The Canvasser has:

● Good judgment, with the ability to make timely and sound decisions.
Position Duties:
● Under the direction of the City Manager, the Canvasser will be responsible for
direct voter contact in their assigned turf.
● Hits daily and weekly goals as part of the field program as directed by the City
Manager.
● Lifts trends or responses that are heard in the field that relate to the overall
program goals.
● Ability to have effective conversations about issues with a variety of audiences.
● Is flexible and can adapt their communication strategy based on programmatic
changes.
● Collects required data during voter registration and doors and reports data at
assigned times or when requested by management.
● Reports throughout the day to the City Manager during site-based voter
registration and daily during canvassing.
● Comfortable using the assigned technology and is timely on filling out daily
reports.
● Completes assigned duties thoroughly and correctly.
● Participates in training as directed by City Managers.
● Participates in launch meetings.

Job , Duties, responsibilities and activities are based on campaign needs and may

Position Details :
The Canvasser is a part-time, hourly position. Weekend and evening
hours are required. Physical requirements include frequent standing, canvassing for
long periods of time, the ability to sit in meetings, and lift moderate weight for supplies.
Candidates must reside in Columbus, Cleveland, or Cincinnati Ohio and have reliable
transportation to an office setting.
Salary This position pays $22/hour, up to 35 hours per week.
