BlackPoint IT is seeking an individual with demonstrated IT Managed Services B2B sales experience to join our team as an IT Account Manager (internal job title is vCIO virtual Chief Information Officer). This is a full-time, 100% remote position responsible for establishing and maintaining client business-level strategic relationships, then utilizing and building on these relationships to better understand short- and long-term business IT needs and objectives. The ideal candidate will meet company strategic objectives for each client account by owning end-to-end customer satisfaction by collaboratively utilizing internal technical and sales resources. As a trusted business partner, you will help our clients establish strategic roadmaps that reduce business risk, facilitate technology improvements while expanding BlackPoint's service offerings.

Compensation:

  • Base Compensation: $75,000 to $85,000.
  • Monthly performance-based bonuses.

Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Demonstrate a deep understanding of customer's business challenges
  • Think and act strategically to align customers' business challenges with BlackPoint's offerings
  • Focus on the business impact of technology and the benefits to be derived from the deployment of BlackPoint's recommended solutions
  • Build and execute business plans for customer accounts
  • Work effectively in a team environment with customers, internal staff, internal and external management, and 3rd party vendors
  • Serve as the focal point for client communication
  • Identify and respond to customer needs, questions, issues, and service opportunities
  • Conduct routine meetings as contracted to inform clients on technology issues and remain current on customer's business initiatives
  • Work with BlackPoint Engineers to design comprehensive IT solutions to meet customer's goals and objectives
  • Build and maintain long-term relationships with clients to ensure that they continue to renew their BlackPoint Managed Services contracts, deploy IT projects as recommended and executed by BlackPoint, and serve as references for the Company
  • Optimize revenue within accounts and manage to gross margin targets set for each account

 

 

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:

  • Knowledge of technology trends with a strong understanding of current IT infrastructure, system architectures, and application software solutions
  • Ability to tie IT strategy to business goals by understanding our clients' business needs, management structure, and IT budgeting process
  • Demonstrated success in managing accounts and projects with a high level of customer focus and satisfaction
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to interact with C-level resources and their staff
  • Ability to think logically, with superb analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent time management, organization, and leadership skills
  • Able to thrive in environments with ambiguity, multiple priorities, and changing client needs
  • Knowledge of Small and Medium Business IT issues and solutions
  • Ability to negotiate customer and vendor agreements that align with company objectives
  • Energetic self-starter with the desire and ability to grow in the position
  • Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team to determine work priorities, project plans, timelines, and changing work demands

 

 

Preferred Education and Experience

  • BA/BS degree preferred, or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience
  • 5 years of professional experience in a sales or related role incorporating knowledge of technology
