What are the responsibilities and job description for the Junior Product Manager position at BLADE?
BLADE is hiring a Junior Product Manager to help bring the product to the next level. You will be a key member of BLADE’s product development team, working alongside the Head of Product. You will collaborate closely with a small and agile product development team to help gather requirements from stakeholders and train other departments on the product. This is a great learning opportunity for a junior product person seeking hands-on experience across all areas of the product.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Coordinate product launches across Product, Operations, Legal, and Marketing teams
- Along w operations teams, periodically QA product lines, system configurations, and integrations (ex Kayak)
- Generate and maintain system documentation and training materials. Train internal teams on our software as needed
- Monitor and report on product performance against KPIs
- User interviews and usability testing
- Competitive research
- QA new features
- Manage internal request ticketing system (bugs, feature requests, new product configurations, policies, etc)
- Uncover operations system workflow gaps and generate feature requirements
REQUIREMENTS
- Either 6 months experience in a Jr Product Management role, OR, 2 yrs in a related role (engineering, product design, or business analyst), plus some training in PM
- Self-motivated, with a sense of urgency and ability to prioritize mission-critical work
- A problem solver who is comfortable working with unclear requirements
- Strong presentation and communication skills
- Strong technical understanding - not necessarily a developer or a designer, but must have knowledge of how products are designed and developed.
