As a freelance full stack engineer, you’ll play a key role in building and enhancing our products for customers and the business. We're focused on creating an exceptional mobile experience with features like ordering, pickup, our Regulars program, personalization, and more.

What You’ll Own:

• Collaborate with our core team on various technology products, including the app, POS, and internal tools
• Work on diverse initiatives ranging from core product functionality and growth experiments to design systems and new product launches
• Collaborate closely with our product and design teams, with exposure to company leadership
• Contribute to the product roadmap and strategy, advocate for quality engineering, and offer your ideas and feedback
• Develop and ship features using Flutter, Node.js, TypeScript, AWS and other technologies
• Assist in establishing and refining our engineering processes, tools, and systems to enhance speed and productivity

Who You Are:

• 4-5 years of full stack engineer experience minimum
• Proven experience working on production consumer apps
• Proficiency in Node.js, TypeScript and Flutter programming frameworks, or a strong willingness to learn and adapt quickly
• An entrepreneurial mindset with experience in building products
• A proactive approach to tackling challenges, with no task being too small or too large
• Ability to work effectively in a cross-disciplinary team and communicate with colleagues from different fields
• A collaborative team player with a strong sense of teamwork
• Passion for our mission and the products we build, making your work enjoyable and fulfilling

Additional Information:

• This is a freelance position with a defined scope and timeline
• This position could be hybrid with 2-3 days in our Brooklyn or London office, or fully remote if in EST or BST time zones
• Availability for regular virtual meetings and collaboration is required
• This is a full-time/40-hour a week freelance position. Please provide a link to your GitHub and any relevant projects that you have contributed to
• $80—$120 USD per hour rate based on experience and project scope

Our hourly ranges are rooted in the desire to pay competitively relative to our organization size and industry. Details will be discussed during the interview process. Blank Street may pay more or less than the posted range based on factors such as relevant experience and skills, qualifications and location, among others. This range may be modified in the future
