Blazerworks, in collaboration with a reputable school district, is seeking a dedicated and experienced Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to join our team. This is a full-time position with the potential for renewal for the next school year. Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive assessments to evaluate students' speech, language, and communication skills
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to address students' communication goals and needs
- Provide direct speech and language therapy services to students, both individually and in group settings
- Collaborate with teachers, parents/guardians, and other professionals to support students' communication skills in the classroom and throughout the school environment
- Monitor and document student progress, adjusting therapy strategies as needed
- Participate in Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings and contribute to students' educational planning and progress monitoring
- Provide recommendations for classroom accommodations and strategies to support students' communication needs
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of student assessments, therapy sessions, and progress reports
Qualifications:
- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
- Current state licensure or certification as a Speech-Language Pathologist (Colorado licensure preferred)
- Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA)
- Experience working with children and adolescents with speech and language disorders (school-based experience preferred)
- Knowledge of a variety of assessment tools and evidence-based intervention techniques
- Familiarity with Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and special education processes
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with students, parents/guardians, and multidisciplinary teams
- Strong organizational and time management skills to effectively handle caseload responsibilities
