About the Role: Blazer Jobs has partnered with the Monroe, North Carolina school district to hire a dedicated and compassionate full-time Special Education Teacher for the 2024/2025 school year. This role is essential in providing specialized instruction and support to students with diverse learning needs, helping them achieve their academic and personal goals.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for students.
- Provide direct instruction and support to students with special needs.
- Adapt curriculum and teaching methods to meet the needs of students.
- Collaborate with general education teachers, parents, and other professionals to support student progress.
- Monitor and document student progress and make necessary adjustments to instruction.
- Participate in IEP meetings and provide recommendations for services.
Qualifications: Applicants must meet all local and state requirements, which include:
- Bachelors degree in Special Education or a related field from an accredited program.
- Valid North Carolina teaching license in Special Education.
- At least one year of experience working in a special education setting (preferred).
