What are the responsibilities and job description for the Barback position at Blend?
POSITION SUMMARY
The incumbent in this position is responsible for stocking all bar supplies & inventory, preparing batch drink recipes, organizing the beer cooler & liquor room, maintaining a clean, well-organized work area, and prepping all garnishes for service wells.
GENERAL ACCOUNTABILITIES

1. Set up bars for operation; cut fruit; stock ice; take out garbage.
2. Support bartenders' needs and ensure the bar is stocked.
3. Report any maintenance problems to the Manager on duty.
4. Work in an assigned location and shift per department needs.
5. Stocks all bar deliveries received throughout the shift.
6. Sort bottles and corrugated cardboard for recycling.
7. Maintain bar & equipment maintenance and cleanliness in accordance with health department standards.
8. Making garbage runs as often as needed, as well as cleaning the garbage cans at the end of the night.

WORKING CONDITIONS
Must have ability to:
- Work in an environment that is subject to varying levels of noise and crowds, the severity of which depends upon customer volume. Incumbents are at times subjected to hazards such as so-mat vapors.
- Communicate effectively always with all levels of employees.
- Inspect and maintain areas for which you’re responsible for.
- Use the equipment associated with the position, including but not limited to lifting to 50 pounds of ice, garbage or bar supplies, lifting kegs weighing approximately 200 pounds, and moving carts weighing in excess of 400 pounds throughout shift.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS
Must be 18 years of age. Prior food and beverage background helpful, but not required.
These skills and abilities are typically acquired through two months of on-the-job training or through related experience.
REGULATORY AND COMPLIANCE RESPONSIBILITIES
In addition to the other duties described herein, each employee has the following responsibilities related to compliance with laws and regulations:
- Attend required training sessions offered by Trip 7’s, LLC.
- Perform the duties described in compliance with local laws and regulations.
- Have knowledge of the policies, and procedures relating to the employee’s department.
- Refer to the Policies & Procedures Manuals for guidance.
- Report suspicious activity to the appropriate levels of Management
