Position Summary The Customer Service Representative is an important role in the Pharmacy Operations and is responsible for answering inbound calls to the pharmacy and directing calls to appropriate personnel. The ideal candidate is a well-spoken, enthusiastic, and organized person with the ability to provide a high level of customer service to our patients, clinicians, and clients. Please note hours: Monday through Friday 10a to 7p Key Responsibilities The Primary resource for inbound telephone calls to minimize workflow interruptions due to non-clinical related customer inquiries, such as general prescription status or financial information. Directly responds to customer inquiries when appropriate or routes calls to the appropriate staff to ensure prompt resolution/customer satisfaction. Data entry into the management information system for changes in patient information. Provides customer service through manipulation of management information system to answer questions regarding refill needs, providing status of pending/shipped prescriptions, verifying insurance information and providing copies of invoices upon request. Assists with the warm transfer process through verification of fax receipt, and ensures that follow-up calls are made and documented. Performs other duties as assigned. Qualifications/Requirements 2 years of experience in professional telephone manner Proficiency in Microsoft applications Critical Skills Excellent verbal and written communications Strong attention to detail Experience working with management information systems to effectively address customer needs Customer service experience preferred Medical office experience /knowledge of medical terminology preferred Education High School Diploma or GED with a minimum of Associate degree preferred Must be authorized to work in the US.
