What are the responsibilities and job description for the Salon Receptionist position at Blo Blow Dry Bar?
Seeking 30-40 hours weekday receptionist (with some weekend coverage availability) for a busy blow dry bar in Bernardsville.
You must be someone who enjoys people and customer service and loves the beauty glam culture. This is a fast-paced environment where busy and fashionable women are seeking a quick wash and blow out (many guests are members), custom styles and makeup for events and photo shoots, and seeking luxury hair extensions.
You need to be an independent thinker and problem-solver, as computer issues, booking conflicts, urgent appointments and bridal parties require on-your-feet creative problem solving without getting frazzled. The ideal candidate thinks and sees ahead of any potential issue, is confident and an excellent communicator with manager, owner and rest of team. Details are critical!
You also need to be a neat freak (ha ha) and love to organize and clean as your daily routine. Our bar must look spotless, modern and sleek at all times! We want you to be really proud of where you work and contribute your ideas and talents to maintain a successful team. Responsibilities include:
- Open/close salon
- Greeting guests
- Assisting stylists between appointments
- Offering refreshments
- Answering phones/emails
- Managing register
- Handling deliveries/repairs
- Managing inventory
- Organizing displays and retail shelves
