Job Summary

Our Inspector is responsible for assisting with resort supervision, labor and cost controls of the Housekeeping Department. They maintain cleanliness throughout the resort by following set quality standards and procedures, while providing a consistent guest experience.

Duties and Responsibilities

§ Ensures compliance with and completion of all daily operational procedures of the department.

§ Maintains complete knowledge of resort policies and procedures, ensuring all team members are well informed.

§ Leads inspection program for public areas and guest rooms to ensure that proper maintenance and standards are achieved and sustained. Maintains a deep cleaning schedule.

§ Assists with initiating new procedures to increase efficiency of labor and safe chemical and equipment use.

§ Ensures compliance with key control procedures, as well as security of all storage areas.

§ Leads the department in generating work orders through Alice software.

§ Enforces standard procedures for the acceptance, security, and return of guest lost and found items.

§ Maintains open lines of communication within the department, as well as with all other departments.

§ Manages employee performance to ensure productivity and a quality work environment, while setting clear expectations to ensure accountability.

§ Performs monthly inventory counts to ensure proper ordering, receiving and maintenance of supplies.

§ Recognize good team performance on a continuous basis through reward and recognition programs.

Requirements

§ Eye for detail

§ Experience managing people and delivering feedback appropriately to improve performance

§ Hotel experience preferred

§ Professional verbal and written communication skills with a strong attention to detail

§ Ability to accurately and efficiently report information

§ Ability to quickly learn and work with various software programs

§ Experience with problem resolution

§ Ability to stand for up to eight hours a day

§ Flexibility to work mornings and evenings, weekdays and weekends, and holidays
