Qualifications
- Age Requirement: Minimum of 21 years of age at the time of hire and not more than 34 years of age at time of application deadline (June 14, 2024), unless otherwise exempt by Illinois Statute
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent Must possess a valid class B non CDL driver's license
- Must be able to read, write, speak, understand, and otherwise communicate
- fluently in the English language
- Must not have a felony conviction
- Must meet all qualifications set forth in Article 4 Downstate Pension Fund
- Must have current Candidate Physical Ability Test (CPAT) card with Ladder Climb Endorsement at the time of the written exam obtained within one year of the application deadline
- Must be certified as an Emergency Medical Technician Paramedic (EMT-P) and have BOF at the time of conditional offer of employment
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent
- Must possess a valid class B non CDL driver's license
