JOB SUMMARY
The Cost Accountant/Financial Analyst position maintains the data analytics system and the cost accounting system that drives many of the analytics solutions processed, ensuring the integrity and accuracy of data used for reporting. The Cost Accountant/Financial Analyst supports all departments of the organization by developing, preparing, and communicating complex financial analyses and reports for use by management in decision making. This is accomplished through extensive data mining and abstracting of information from various sources and systems This position will work with Department Directors to identify areas for improvement and assists with quantifying the potential opportunity and executing the plans for improvement.
JOB SPECIFICATIONS
Education and or experience: Requires a B.S. degree with a major in accounting, finance, business management, or other relevant business field. Requires 1-3 years of professional experience in cost accounting, with a finance background strongly preferred.
Knowledge: Knowledge of financial modeling and cost accounting concepts. Knowledge of general healthcare practices and operations.
Skills: Strong analytical/problem solving skills; Cost accounting experience; Superior technology skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Excel, are required; Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills is a plus.
Abilities: Demonstrated high levels of initiative, innovation, and collaboration; Positive attitude; Flexible in re-prioritizing projects; Ability to effectively work in teams, as well as autonomously, in a fast-paced environment.
