Job Description:


BLTa- A Perkins Eastman Studio, is an integrated architecture and interior design studio with expertise in mixed use, residential, hospitality, office and higher education projects in urban environments. We are committed to delivering inspired design that makes both our client and their community proud when the project is complete. From creating environments that satisfy the diverse needs of clients and users: functional and financial, aesthetic and emotional, immediate and strategic, to responding to context, BLTa works with what exists to create a greater whole, through similarity or contrast, as appropriate for each specific project.

RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE

  • Researching materials and assemblies for appropriate incorporation into design and construction drawings as directed by a supervisor.
  • Creates BIM models and prepares design and construction drawings using information supplied by a supervisor or data obtained from research activities.
  • Integrates information from consultants and suppliers into models and drawings.
  • Prepares presentation boards for use by other staff in presenting to a client for approval.



Job Requirements:
  • Must have graduated from an accredited program
  • Can manage and complete multiple tasks
  • Ability to prepare architectural documents and specifications for projects
  • Work in a team environment
  • Ability to read red lines and modify BIM models or drawings accordingly
  • Excellent verbal/written skills
  • Previous internship experience preferred
  • Proficiency in Revit, Sketch-up, Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, and Photoshop) preferred
  • Knowledge of building design and construction means, methods, and techniques
  • Knowledge of architectural history and current architectural design discourse
  • Awareness of sustainable design approaches
