Bluco Corporation, Naperville, IL is looking for a Manufacturing Engineer to support our Sales and Manufacturing teams to help design, document and deliver world-class solutions for a broad range of interesting applications. We manufacture and design precision modular fixturing and every fixture design requires detailed drawing, planning, and pricing. What You’ll be Doing when you join our company:
- Turn concept designs into detailed models, assemblies, and prints for manufacturing
- Analyze part process and design to decide how to make it, what it will cost to manufacture, and what the sales price will be
- Source raw materials, qualify new vendors and develop vendor relationships to keep our custom product pipeline flowing smoothly
- Create materials our customers count on, like SOP/work instructions, owner’s manuals and schematics, or Bill of Materials for both standard and custom products
- Maintain and update the CAD libraries our Sales Team and customers use to create modular fixture designs
- Design the next potential breakthrough in modular fixturing by developing concepts for new products
- Suggest the next game-changer in our internal processes by researching and developing critical new technologies or suggesting new capital equipment we can’t live without
- Test and troubleshoot engineering prototypes to improve, revise and finalize new designs
- Think critically, by examining our existing product lines for ways to boost functionality and improve quality while maintaining manufacturing costs
What we need from you to apply:
- Bachelor of Science in Engineering or Engineering technology (Mechanical, Manufacturing or related discipline preferred).
- Minimum of 1-3 years of experience in engineering field
- Proficiency in Solidworks or similar 3D CAD software
- Understand basic tolerancing and fits in metal fabrication and machining
- Ability to interpret and create 2D drawings and CAD renderings
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office software programs
- Proven mechanical aptitude through education, employment, or personal experience
- Excellent communication skills
- A focus on quality, and pride in workmanship
- Ability to work well with others in a team environment
Experience with any of the following is a plus, but not a must:
- Metal fabrication and manufacturing including material processing, welding, and machining
- Solidworks Assemblies (100 to 1000 parts)
- GD&T (basic understanding)

- $70,000 - $80,000 starting base salary, plus yearly bonuses and profit sharing
