Description

Primary Responsibilities

  • Directs production and inventory control, shipping and receiving, and materials storage
  • Directs production planning and scheduling based on sales forecasts
  • Maintains inventory levels to ensure deliveries occur within customer timelines
  • Maintains and ensures accuracy of the perpetual inventory system
  • Works with purchasing department to schedule delivery of materials, supplies, and equipment
  • Oversees shipping and receiving functions related to purchased parts and finished goods
  • Identifies opportunities to reduce transportation costs and charges
  • Manages and monitors storage of purchased parts and finished goods
  • Performs writie-offs on damaged or obsolete inventory to reflect accurate value of inventory
  • Establishes procedures for conduction and valuing year-end physical inventory
  • Performs other related duties as assigned

ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the proven ability to fully understand customers requirements
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently and as part of the development team
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software and software used in product testing and documentation

EDUCATION, SKILLS, & OTHER REQUIREMENTS:

  • College graduate with Industrial Engineering degree or Decision Science degree
  • At least 5 years of experience
  • APICS certification

WORKING CONDITIONS:

  • Work in manufacturing environment with exposure to heat, cold, noise, and fumes
  • Fast-paced environment with moving objects, sharp edges, and congested working areas
  • Will be pushing, pulling, kneeling, reaching overhead, grasping, and lifting up to 50 pounds

PERFORMANCE CRITERIA:

  • Must meet established quality and production standards
  • Practice good housekeeping
  • Wear required personal protective equipment (PPE)
  • Must meet established attendance policy and work overtime when required
  • Must perform other duties and tasks as assigned by supervisor
