Description
Primary Responsibilities
Directs production and inventory control, shipping and receiving, and materials storage
Directs production planning and scheduling based on sales forecasts
Maintains inventory levels to ensure deliveries occur within customer timelines
Maintains and ensures accuracy of the perpetual inventory system
Works with purchasing department to schedule delivery of materials, supplies, and equipment
Oversees shipping and receiving functions related to purchased parts and finished goods
Identifies opportunities to reduce transportation costs and charges
Manages and monitors storage of purchased parts and finished goods
Performs writie-offs on damaged or obsolete inventory to reflect accurate value of inventory
Establishes procedures for conduction and valuing year-end physical inventory
Performs other related duties as assigned
ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Strong interpersonal skills with the proven ability to fully understand customers requirements
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
Ability to work independently and as part of the development team
Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software and software used in product testing and documentation
EDUCATION, SKILLS, & OTHER REQUIREMENTS:
College graduate with Industrial Engineering degree or Decision Science degree
At least 5 years of experience
APICS certification
WORKING CONDITIONS:
Work in manufacturing environment with exposure to heat, cold, noise, and fumes
Fast-paced environment with moving objects, sharp edges, and congested working areas
Will be pushing, pulling, kneeling, reaching overhead, grasping, and lifting up to 50 pounds
PERFORMANCE CRITERIA:
Must meet established quality and production standards
Practice good housekeeping
Wear required personal protective equipment (PPE)
Must meet established attendance policy and work overtime when required
Must perform other duties and tasks as assigned by supervisor

Education
