QUALIFICATIONS:
PREFERRED SKILLS, COMPETENCIES AND EXPERIENCE:
GENERAL DESCRIPTION – PURPOSE OF ROLE:
Perform tasks in the meat and meat receiving area working as a team member to make sure that food products are received and processed according to quality specifications and customer expectations.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Ability to operate equipment to produce products for customers.
- Responsible for product movement.
- Assure quality and safety standards are adhered to.
- Knowledge of machinery upkeep and operation.
- Tracking and rotation of product.
- Ability to perform sanitation tasks as assigned.
- Communicate and work as a Team Member.
- Assist other team members in completion of work.
- Communicate with fellow employees to complete task and adhere to all company policies, SOP’s and standards.
- Ability to work flexible work schedules with varying hours as required.
- Ensure that a high quality of products, services, housekeeping and hygiene standards are maintained and improved in the area.
- Properly tag and track all process waste material so it can be reused or disposed of correctly.
- Maintain process area repair and effectively communicating with maintenance.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Work mandatory overtime as required.
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as SOP’s, and safety documents.
- Flexibility to switch shifts as required.
- Record keeping, and organizational skills.
- Ability to read, write and understand English.
- Strong interpersonal skills, positive attitude and the ability to communicate effectively at all levels.
- Must be able to calculate totals, percentages, and operate some computerized equipment.
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Understands the importance of safety and quality.
- Ability to plan work on a daily basis, work independently and be a self-starter and a highly motivated individual.
- Know all LOTO procedures for your area.
PREFERRED SKILLS, COMPETENCIES AND EXPERIENCE:
- 2 or more years in food manufacturing with production floor experience.
- Detail oriented and able to multi-task.
- Vast knowledge of fresh and frozen product lines as well as packaging requirements.
Salary : $31,800 - $40,200
