CubeSat Systems Engineer Intern

Blue Canyon Technologies is seeking a talented and enthusiastic CubeSat Systems Engineer Intern to join our BCT Summer in Space Internship program. Applicants must be currently enrolled at an accredited college or university. In addition, applicants must be enrolled fall semester 2022. This will be a full-time position for the summer for approximately 10 weeks, starting near the end of May 2023.

Pay Range: $27.56 - $29.29 hour (Salary rate to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data.)

Location: Boulder, CO

Job Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain technical budgets for vehicle performance.
• Develop and manage system requirements and verification techniques.
• Develop simulations and perform analysis across vehicle functions.
• Create test methods and plans for new developments.
• Develop, in collaboration with team members, interface specifications, CONOPS definition, and other design documents.
• Assist with customer meetings and facilitate technical exchanges with customers.
• Assist with proposals and facilitate technical exchanges with the engineering team.
• Assist with program management and product management.
• Perform other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications:

• Currently pursuing a degree from a four-year university. Must be working towards a degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, or Physics Major, or equivalent technical discipline.
• Strong ability to work in teams and collaborate with peers and internal customers
• Strong analytical skills – comfortable working with quantitative and qualitative data
• Ability to learn new processes quickly and effectively multi-task
• Effective communication skills; comfortable working in a team environment; high energy and desire to learn.
• Demonstrated leadership experience through school or extracurricular projects
• US work authorization required

Position Details:

• 3-month paid internship
• 40 hours per week

• No relocation assistance

Working Conditions:
This job operates in a professional office environment, but in a manufacturing company. This role uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, scanners, filling cabinets and fax machines.
