Job Description:
Join our growing team as a Home Improvement Technician. You will be responsible for handling the entire lifecycle of a home repair project from gathering needed materials, performing the work, and receiving payment from the customer upon completion of the project. This role requires high autonomy, organization, timeliness, and responsibility. You will thrive in a fast-paced startup environment and perform a variety of home repair and improvement projects. The ideal candidate will desire to grow with our company and be willing to view the home services industry from a new perspective. You will contribute to business growth through creating and maintaining long-term customer relationships.
Responsibilities:
- Execute remodeling projects such as bathroom/kitchen remodels
- Perform carpentry tasks such as installing/repairing trim, installing windows, and installing doors
- Install/repair decks and patios
- Paint interior and exterior surfaces as needed
- Repair/finish drywall surfaces
- Perform general maintenance and repairs in residential and commercial properties
- Conduct routine inspections to identify any issues or repairs needed
- Perform routine maintenance items on a recurring basis
- Provide accurate estimates to customers as needed
- Repair or replace broken or damaged fixtures, appliances, and equipment
- Install and assemble furniture, fixtures, and equipment
- Handle basic plumbing and electrical repairs
- Retrieve needed tools and materials
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of work areas
- Maintain a minimum level of billable hours per week
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a carpenter/remodeler with crossover experience in other trades
- Strong knowledge of general maintenance processes and methods for residential properties
- Proficient in using various tools and equipment
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and drawings
- Excellent problem-solving skills
- Good communication and customer service skills
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Have a driver's license, a reliable vehicle, and insurance
- Be able to pass a background check
- Must have/own day to day tools of the trade (specialty tools will be provided by the company)
