What are the responsibilities and job description for the Marketing Lead position at Blue Federal Credit Union?

The Marketing Lead will work cross-functionally to create and develop marketing strategies and campaigns that engage members, drive awareness, increase share-of-wallet, and increase new member acquisition. They will accomplish these objectives by collaborating with the marketing team and other departments throughout Blue, acting as the project lead to ensure that projects are delivered on time and above expectations, and with visibility for all key stakeholders. At a tactical level, they will own the external and internal email communications, marketing analytics, ad operations functions, and personalized marketing systems. They will also coordinate closely with communications and copy roles (either internal or freelance) and stay abreast of marketing industry trends in order to make recommendations for strategy and development to most effectively market the Blue
brand and drive engagement.
- Ad Operations - Manage and optimize ad operations to ensure effective delivery and performance of campaigns. Collaborate with internal teams to align ad strategies with overall marketing goals and track key performance metrics.
- Strategy and Analytics - Develop and implement data-driven marketing strategies. Analyze campaign performance and provide insights to inform decision-making and strategy adjustments. Present findings to the VP of Marketing and other stakeholders.
- Personalized Marketing Systems Management - Lead the management and optimization of personalized marketing systems. Leverage software capabilities to tailor marketing efforts for both current and new member growth, utilizing financial behavior and general/market behavior data. Oversee the implementation of targeted emails, ads, custom web experiences, and other personalized marketing initiatives to enhance member engagement and acquisition.
- Organization and Collaboration - Create production schedules and manage execution of projects. Ensure coordination across all teams and departments to maintain alignment and achieve measurable outcomes.
- Email Marketing - Oversee external and internal email communications, ensuring consistency in messaging and optimizing for engagement and conversion.
- Design Skills - Utilize design skills within Adobe Suite to enhance marketing materials and campaigns. Collaborate with Creative Services Manager to ensure visual consistency and appeal across all marketing channels.
Knowledge and Skills
ExperienceFive years to eight years of media, email marketing, and digital media placement experience. Project Management experience desired. Must be team player who embraces a collaborative, fast-paced environment, with flexibility to work on various projects at one time, prioritize deliverables, ad collaborate with other departments. Email campaign management experience required.
Education/Certifications/LicensesA college degree in marketing, communication, or graphic design.
Interpersonal SkillsThe ability to motivate or influence internal or external senior level professionals is a critical part of the job, requiring a significant level of influence and trust. Obtaining cooperation and agreement on important outcomes via frequently complex, senior level dialogues, as well as a professional level of written communication skills are essential to the position.

Note: Starting Salary is dependent on location and experience. Position is at World Headquarters in Cheyenne. Remote is a possibility for those living in Colorado or Wyoming, based on proximity to a Blue branch.
ADA Requirements
Physical RequirementsIs able to bend, sit, and stand in order to perform primarily sedentary work with limited physical exertion and occasional lifting of up to 10 lbs. Must be capable of climbing / descending stairs in an emergency situation. Must be able to operate routine office equipment including computer terminals and keyboards, telephones, copiers, facsimiles, and calculators. Must be able to routinely perform work on computer for an average of 6-8 hours per day, when necessary. Must be able to work extended hours or travel off site whenever required or requested by management. Must be capable of regular, reliable and timely attendance.
Working ConditionsMust be able to routinely perform work indoors in climate-controlled shared work area with minimal noise.
Mental and/or Emotional RequirementsMust be able to perform job functions independently or with limited supervision and work effectively either on own or as part of a team. Must be able to read and carry out various written instructions and follow oral instructions. Must be able to complete basic mathematical calculations, spell accurately, and understand computer basics. Must be able to speak clearly and deliver information in a logical and understandable sequence. Must be capable of dealing calmly and professionally with numerous different personalities from diverse cultures at various levels within and outside of the organization and demonstrate highest levels of customer service and discretion when dealing with the public. Must be able to perform responsibilities with composure under the stress of deadlines / requirements for extreme accuracy and quality and/or fast pace. Must be able to effectively handle multiple, simultaneous, and changing priorities. Must be capable of exercising highest level of discretion on both internal and external confidential matters.
