Summary: Responsible for overseeing and supervising all originations activity related to government guaranteed loan programs. This role will report to the Director of C&I lending and will be responsible for direct originations as well as developing and managing strategic partnerships with intermediaries as well as other sources of new business. This role will be a creative, highly visible, multi-faceted and cross-functional role that will drive growth within Blue Foundry Banks C&I vertical.
Minimum Job Requirements:
- 5 years originating government guaranteed lending opportunities.
- Strong SBA 7a and 504 product, SOP and agency program knowledge.
- Strong fundamental credit knowledge.
- Solid staff and team supervisory experience.
- Knowledge working with and overseeing Lender Service Providers & Loan Agents.
- Existing relationships and COI network (Brokers, Accountants, attorneys & outsourced CFOs).
- Ability and experience structuring deals.
- Ability to analyze financials, understand businesses and communicate and synthesize analysis to various stakeholders.
- Experience speaking to CEOs and CFOs of SMEs to understand their business, perform a needs analysis and recommend appropriate financing solutions for their business.
- Bachelor’s Degree in business or finance.
- Demonstrated and proven expertise in developing partner relationships and channel sales programs.
- Experience managing and training business support specialist as well as be able to take a leading role in managing future business development officers.
- An interest in learning new products and be motivated by Blue Foundry Bank’s mission to create innovative lending experiences and financial products that help small businesses succeed.
Specific Job Functions:
- Originate SBA and related government guaranteed loans.
- Ability to supervise a small team processing and closing of SBA and related loans.
- Form deep market relationships with customer, intermediaries, and COI’s.
- Source and negotiate broker relationships.
- Manage brokerage relationships.
- Ability to work in tandem with Lender Service Provider(s) and Loan Agent(s).
- Be part of the team to develop and structure go to market strategies for new Blue Foundry Bank products.
- Work with the internal GG Team to help onboard loans.
- Participate in process and procedural improvements to better the customer experience.
- Solid knowledge of SBA PARRiS Oversight and SBA Lender Program (SOP) requirements.
- Partner with teams from across the organization to produce and distribute month Partner newsletters and other compelling content and messaging.
- Perform research on new channel partners, ecosystems and other potential new avenues of government guaranteed loan growth.
- Proactive in identifying and open to taking on new projects that drive growth, efficiency and ROI for the group and Bank.
- Ensure bank compliance with SBA and Regulatory authorities including working with various bank auditors as necessary.
- Other duties as assigned by Bank senior management.
