Party Chief
Land Surveying Residential and Commercial
Monday – Friday plus OT as needed
$23 - $30 per hour (depending on experience)
Description
Blue Harlan is part of the recruiting team for this growing land surveying company with locations in 6 States in the US. Due to a growing market with new clients being added daily we are seeking a Chief to perform boundary surveys, elevation certificates, ALTA surveys and more for clients throughout North East VA and the DC Area.
A company vehicle (car or small truck is assigned.) Successful candidates will be self-managed, responsible, safe, enjoy working independently, and be comfortable working outside throughout the year. Overtime and weekend work are available for those who are looking for additional hours.
Key Requirements
- Complete land survey as prescribed by a Professional Licensed Surveyor
- Must have experience with GPS, total stations and data collectors along with prior field work for land surveying/boundary location.
- 3 years of residential and commercial survey work
- The ability to understand and interpret data
- Client management/customer service skills
- Organization and time management skills
- Basic "office suite" computer skills
- Able to operate a motor vehicle with a valid license and clean Motor Vehicle Record
- Safety conscious
- Ability to efficiently provide clear and complete, legible and detailed sketch/field notes
Physical Requirements
- Ability to carry survey equipment and supplies in remote, rural and urban surroundings
- Ability to lift equipment up to 50 lbs.
- Regularly walk, stand, crouch or stoop, frequently lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects
- Walk over rough, uneven, or slippery surfaces
- Work in a variety of weather conditions with exposure to the elements
- Ability to travel up and down ladders
