What are the responsibilities and job description for the Ski Patrol position at Blue Knob All Seasons Resort?
Blue Knob All Seasons Resort is looking to hire individuals for part time positions for the resort’s Ski Patrol.
Prerequisites: All applicants must posses:
-Intermediate to Advanced skiing or snowboarding skills. All applicants must be capable of skiing all slopes at the resort comfortably and strongly. Applicants need to be available for Monday thru Friday daylight shifts.
- Current Pennsylvania Department of Health Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) certification or higher level prehospital medical training
or
Current National Ski Patrol Outdoor Emergency Care Technician (OEC) certification
Job Requirement- Patrollers are responsible for opening the resort slopes, closing of resort slopes, evaluation of slopes for hazards and dealing with found hazards, performing emergency medical skills on the slopes, while transporting to patrol room and until care is transferred to the local ambulance service, all rescue operations on resort property and ski lift rescue operations. Individuals need to be available to work Monday thru Friday daylight shifts.
