RF Engineer

The position of RF Engineer entails design, test, and manufacturing oversight of microwave and millimeterwave communication system assemblies. The candidate must have prior experience in millimeterwave communication hardware design, EM simulation tools, and packaging of high-frequency communication electronics.

Responsibilities

• RF communication transceiver design and performance analysis (e.g., cascade, phase noise, link budgets)
• Millimeterwave circuit design and performance simulation
• Waveguide design and performance simulation
• Schematic design and analysis
• PCB layout design and analysis, including power and signal integrity
• RF circuit assembly mechanical packaging design oversight
• PCB manufacturing, chip-and-wire, and mechanical integration manufacturing oversight

Qualifications

• Minimum of five years of hands-on experience in RF product development
• High proficiency in Altium schematic and PCB layout tools
• High proficiency in linear, 2D, and 3D electromagnetic simulation tools (e.g. HFSS, Genesys, ADS, MWO).
• Proficiency with standard electronics test equipment (e.g., oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, signal generators, electronic loads)
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office products (e.g., Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Visio).
• Excellent expository writing and oral presentation skill
• Must be a US Person (This position has export control and security-related requirements that mandate attention to the citizenship status of any potential candidate and necessitates that the individual either be a United States Citizen, Permanent Resident of the United States, or lawfully admitted into the United States as a refugee or granted asylum by the United States Government.)
