Overview
Blue Ridge Community Fellowship is looking for a Bookkeeper/Office Manager in a part-time capacity working up to 10 hours/week, Monday – Thursday between 8am- 1pm. Opportunity to grow up to 20 hours/week.
Duties
· Oversee bookkeeping activities each month to ensure accuracy, may include posting bank activity, making bank deposits and reconciling card statements
· Partner with Count Team to keep accurate giving records and ensure timely deposits
· Reconcile bank accounts monthly to ensure accuracy and completeness
· Perform all activities related to accounts payable to maintain accurate financial records
· Research any discrepancies and communicate resolutions to appropriate parties
· Track staff expense receipts for budget purposes and help track spending by budget category. · Safeguard financial data and prepare reports upon request
· Interface with outside payroll processor to ensure new staff are set up correctly and timesheets are submitted in a timely manner
· Process new hire and exit paperwork as needed
· Create and/or maintain HR files for staff and ensure they are complete and accurate
· General office responsibilities as required
Qualifications
· 5-7 years relevant experience working in accounting and bookkeeping
· Strong knowledge of accounts payable, accounts receivable, and bank reconciliation processes
· Use and Knowledge of QuickBooks
· Proficient skills Microsoft Excel
· Well organized, multi-tasker, self-disciplined, self-starter and detail-oriented
· Experience with accounts payable, payroll, (and HR a plus)
· High degree of accuracy and attention to detail
· Experience with Planning Center and/or PowerChurch highly desired
· Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or relevant field preferred
· Certification in accounting or related field is a plus
