Warehouse Assistant - Houston

Blue Science Pools is looking for a highly motivated individual to fill our Warehouse Assistant role. In the Warehouse Assistant role, you will be maintaining, organizing, and servicing our Houston Metro warehouse. Job Description:

• Load product on to/off delivery vehicles, pallets, platforms, etc.
• Maintain the facility’s equipment and materials in a neat, clean, and orderly fashion.
• Participate in physical inventories and cycle counts – to accurately keep appropriate records and reports to guarantee a known inventory.
• Perform labeling, sorting, wrapping, packing, and repacking as needed.
• Determine the appropriate allocation of a product by scanning inventory, reading labels and charts, and verifying numbers.
• Become knowledgeable of the responsibilities, procedures, and duties of other areas of the warehouse if necessary.
• May or may not be responsible for operating warehouse and computer equipment.
• Perform work safely and in accordance with company and customer standards and safety regulations.
• Pays attention to detail and monitors the quality of inventory.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Physical Demands and Work Environment:

• Frequently bend, stoop, crouch, reach, stand and walk on feet for shifts ranging from 8-10 hours.
• Frequently lift and/or move inventory. Repetitive lifting including bulk cases averaging 20lbs and weighing up to 80 lbs.
• Must be comfortable working in a multi-temperature environment ranging from -10 degrees to over 100 degrees required.

Schedule:

• Monday - Friday: 40 to 45 hours per week, depending on business needs.
• Must be able to work holidays, weekends, and overtime as required.

Education and Experience:

• High school or equivalent (Required).
• Previous experience in a warehouse environment, including order picking, shipping and receiving, and cycle counting is highly desired.
• 6 months of related experience in an opportunity that was physically demanding.

Pay: $15.00 - $17.00 per hour
