SUMMARY OF POSITION: The Construction Project Manager is responsible for directly managing the construction and administrative activities associated with the operations of a project. This person will facilitate projects from the beginning to the end on schedule, within budget, per the project specifications, safely, all while implementing company policies and regulations. Projects include
Industrial and Office construction and range in value from $250,000 to $20,000,000.
Job Duties include but are not limited to the following:
- Develop execution plans to achieve construction milestones and minimize costs, delays, and disputes.
- Supervise and coordinate activities of the company and third-party inspectors, contractors, and field crews engaged on company construction projects.
- Oversee productivity, progress, and track progress costs.
- Report to project and/or company management on project status and identify potential project problems (delays, revised scheduling, cost overruns, and recommend solutions).
- Provide direction and expertise to construction projects to minimize impacts on operating facilities. Ensure compliance with applicable regulatory requirements, company safety, environmental policies, project scope and constraints, company quality standards, and applicable industry codes.
- Coordinate the activities of subcontractors and work together to stay on schedule and achieve maximum progress.
Qualifications:
- Candidate will have five plus years working as a construction project manager with commercial construction project experience.
- Able to work independently and make decisions under tight deadlines.
- Able to organize people, tools, and equipment as well as plan and manage multiple activities to accomplish desired results.
- Demonstrate leadership skills with ability and willingness to face challenges, direct others, and effectively address conflict.
- Act in a manner of integrity that shows support for the company, its values, and the employees while maintaining constant focus on exceeding customer requirements and expectations.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Computer skills: proficiency in using Microsoft Office, Procore and project scheduling programs.
