Position Summary
Listed work hours: 7:00 A.M to 3:30 P.M
This position is responsible for performing various welding functions required by both the Compressor Assembly department and the Machine Shop. This position is responsible for TIG and MIG welding, with emphasis on TIG welding (95%).
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Performs helium tight welds as necessary on all pressure vessels, sub-assemblies, final assemblies and other fixtures or vessels
- Welds using various techniques unique to Bluefors training
- Assists with preparation and inventory of tubes, caps, and work in process including various sub-assemblies
- Performs maintenance including cleaning work areas, tools, and parts
- Adheres to quality and safety standards as required by Bluefors in regards to self, all equipment, supplies and products
- Maintains appropriate records
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications and Education Requirements
- High school diploma/GED with one year TIG weld experience; or one year certificate from college or technical School and/or six months experience in the field of TIG Welding; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
