Responsibilities

BlueHalo is seeking a motivated and energetic Embedded Engineer Tester to join our team working on multi-disciplinary designs, supporting various national security related projects. BlueHalo Labs in Albuquerque, New Mexico develops high-performance electro-optical/infrared (EOIR), radio frequency (RF), and laser communication systems.  We are currently building a multi-disciplinary engineering team to support the development of embedded processing systems for both commercial and DoD applications.  These solutions include system-on-chip (SoC) or field-programmable gate arrays (FPGAs) in combination with general-purpose processors (GPPs) or graphics processing units (GPUs).   We are seeking skilled and adaptable embedded software engineers to maintain and enhance our embedded processing platforms and build environments.  Out team is looking for qualified candidates who are interested in working within a small, agile, innovative team and who share a strong desire to create a work environment that is highly collaborative, rewarding and fun.   You will be part of a diverse team of software engineers with a deep set of skills.        

Qualifications

Required:

 

  • BS in Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience
  • Must be able to obtain a Clearance 
  • Experience w/ MPLAB-X IDE
  • Familiarity with CAN protocol
  • Familiarity with SPI protocol
  • Familiarity with I2C protocol
  • Ability to interpret schematics
  • Test and Debug hands on experience 
  • Able to work in a team environment. 
  • Secret Clearance

 

Preferred:

  • Experience w/ PIC32 MCUs
  • Experience with LiPo battery management
  • Experience with multiple-MCU platforms
  • Experience with VHDL
  • LabVIEW programming for hardware testing experience a plus.
  • Previous RF and power system design
