Construction Electrical Supervisor
POSITION SUMMARY:
Work will consist of installation, alterations, additions and/or repairs of electrical systems, conductors and associated materials, and equipment within the commercial, industrial, and residential electrical industry.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Must have own transportation and valid driver’s license.
- Current Electrical License (Journeyman/Journeywoman or Master’s)
- 7 years or more of previous commercial/residential electrical experience.
- OSHA-30 and First Aid/CPR certifications
- Lift training certification for Scissor, Aerial & Petty Bone equipment
- Possess skills of lower-level E-1 & E-2 and A-1 thru A-4
- Attend the client safety training when scheduled.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
Directly responsible for leading and working along with a crew which consists of a minimum of 5 Journeymen and/or helpers. This person must layout the work and make certain the materials/tools/equipment, and information are on the jobsite in the proper places, ahead of time. Must be capable of scheduling the crew with the Project Manager, General Supervisor and/or Superintendent.
- Supervise crew up to (20) helpers or Journeymen.
- Plan work and scheduling
- Complete required paperwork and coding
- Initiate and monitor safety program.
- Demonstrate efficient knowledge of the electrical trade.
- Coordinate work with other trades
- Prepare detail drawings for job.
- Material handling & organizing and verify bill of lading for deliveries.
- Coordinate work and activities with the Project Manager
- Has direct communication with General Contractor.
- Responsible for inspections (City, County, etc.)
- Evaluate employees under his/her supervision.
- Responsible for “quality control” on the jobsite
- Be familiar and monitor compliance with company policies and procedures.
- Responsible for reporting and processing appropriate forms for any incidents/accidents on the job
- Know the Team Member Employment Handbook as well as the Safety & Health Program manual
- Perform any and all other tasks as assigned by your Supervisor or Management.
SKILLS REQUIRED:
- Must be able to positively identify colors of wire.
- Must be able to read and comprehend drawings, prints, and schematics.
- Bend conduit by hand using hand benders.
- Able to use all power tools, saws, threaders, wire tuggers, hydraulic benders, and knockout punches.
- Capable of digging trenches, either by use of hand tools or power equipment.
- Operate motorized equipment, trenchers, backhoe, lift trucks, etc. in a safe manner.
- Practice or comprehend safe work procedures as outlined in the company Safety Handbook.
- Operate “2-handed” tools/equipment, cable cutters, hammer drills, compression tools, jack hammers, etc.
- Operate company trucks with manual or automatic transmission.
- Read and interpret maps, instructional manuals, specifications, work site directions, blueprints, and written instructions.
- Operate and work form mechanical personnel lifts (electric or gas powered).

Pay: $24.00 - $35.00 per hour
