The Opportunity
Come and discover the opportunity to join our BlueScope Distribution business in our Granville team as a Dispatch Coordinator. BlueScope Distribution is a provider of single-source product, processing and service solutions in steel and aluminium. The business supports customers in a variety of industries and works with them to help deliver projects on time and to specification. BlueScope Distribution supports its customers by helping them find the freedom to do what they do best.
As a dispatch coordinator, you will plan, co-ordinate and control the dispatch of our products, ensuring high levels of customer service is met. You will be interacting with cross-functional teams including operations, supply chain and sales to ensure high levels of customer service are being met.
This role is a 38-hr work week working Monday-Friday. Working hours have some degree of flexibility but needs to align with key daily business activitiesm. This opportunity includes a competitive remuneration package including our profit share program (annual bonus). What Will You Do?
In this critical role you will be responsible for:
- planning, coordinating and controlling the dispatch of goods from the Granville site
- leading and controlling inventory integrity within the site warehouse and ensuring accuracy of stock holding at all times
- developing load manifests for dispatch operators
- accurate data entry in dispatching orders and expediting for incoming orders
- liaising with customer service, sales and operations teams, along with third-party transport providers
- upholding the high safety standards of the site predominantly with issues related to transportation, Chain of Responsibility and Load restraint compliance
