ASC Profiles LLC is the leading manufacturer of steel roof and wall products and structural roof and floor deck in the Western U.S., servicing customers from six locations. ASC Profiles services various segments of the steel construction industry through its three divisions, AEP Span, ASC Steel Deck and ASC Building Products.
Steelscape, LLC is a national supplier of metallic-coated and pre-painted steel. Aimed at servicing the construction industry, Steelscape’s products can be used for a wide range of applications from metal buildings to architectural roofing to decking and framing. Steelscape’s facilities, located in Kalama, Washington; and Rancho Cucamonga, California are strategically located near major truck, ship and rail routes to service the Western U.S. market.
Job Description
We are looking for a Quality Management Systems Expert to implement and manage the end-to-end life cycle of the Quality Systems for CPNA portfolio (Steelscape and ASC) . This role will analyze the processes, systems and data owned by Quality to eliminate inefficiencies, improve effectiveness and quality, and propose changes while also analyzing business needs to identify the requirements for change or improvements to processes and tools. You will lead the development of fundamental changes to processes and systems (SAP) and data owned by Quality while providing technical expertise for processes and data owned by Quality to the function and wider organization. Another element of this position is to measure performance and drive improvements in the deployment of the QMS elements.
Reporting into the Vice President, Supply Chain & Quality, this highly visible & impactful leader will play a critical role in organizational transformation and will be accountable for managing all aspects of Quality metrics across our 8 manufacturing facilities. Leading a team of Quality Specialists in managing vendor, plant and outgoing shipment quality, they will bring their expertise in quality controls and systems to implement and manage the end-to-end life cycle for our steel decking and roofing product portfolio.

This is an onsite role with travel to other sites for up to 30% of the time. There might be some international travel in the future. The role can also be based out of Rancho Cucamonga, CA.
Primary Duties & Responsibilities:
- Responsible for current state mapping of quality systems and identifying best in class QMS across industry and implementing it for both Steelscape and ASC Profiles.
- Clearly identify quality metrics by line and plant metrics and influence and support the quality team to use six sigma tools (root cause, pareto and corrective actions). Quality metrics needs to show continuous improvement which will result in lower claims
- Benchmark industry best practices to continuously improve the digital adoption for the quality team
- Lead efforts to resolve quality problems across the organization. Identify cost drivers and institute programs and procedures to reduce costs where applicable.
- Ensure standard practices and procedures for all processes are used in a controlled fashion to produce consistent and stable quality products and services.
- Experience operating and communicating at the senior and executive levels internally and externally and managing interdepartmental processes
Qualifications
Minimum requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering or related degree or equivalent experience
- 15 or more years' experience in managing multiple quality operations in a heavy Manufacturing & Industrial environment
- 8-10 years' experience of directly managing and developing a team
Additional qualifications and experience:
- Deep competence and experience w/LEAN, Six Sigma and driving cost and optimization projects.
- APICS certification (strongly preferred)
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent interpersonal and negotiation skills with a proven ability to create and maintain positive working relationships with vendors, suppliers, shippers & customers.
- Strong supervisory and leadership skills; ability and desire to promote teamwork and develop employees.
- Demonstrated knowledge of market trends; ability to use market data to define organizational direction; ability to anticipate and respond to market challenges
- Proven ability to manage the process of product supply and source of risk in end-to-end supply chain
- Creative and flexible in attitude and style to adapt to new situations in a rapidly changing, dynamic environment
Pay Range:
$133,450 - $200,176 annually depending on experience

Employees are eligible to participate in the company annual profit share bonus plan.
